Our mission is to Cultivate Christian principles (based on the Bible), integrated into the education and formation of individuals from different backgrounds and social contexts.

Our Vision, Our Motto

In we 2020 began the process of transition and renewal from our previous motto “A place for all,” which came about because our school is known as a place that integrates students from different contexts and social backgrounds. 


Now in 2022 we have renewed our Institutional mission under the name “Education with purpose“, in order to guide the educational task towards the development of the talents and capacities (Intelligences) of the students. This includes the incorporation of varied workshops, in order to accompany them in the development and strengthening of skills necessary for their successful development in life. They will learn and understand that they are a unique and special individual designed by God, with a plan for their life. We work to help them become a person of integrity, for the benefit of themselves and others.

How we came to be, why we’re here.

The History of our School:

In 1999 the concern arose to integrate Christian values in the integral education of children in the city of Maldonado. We saw the existing need to give a work experience for children living in infortunate curcumstances. This is how our current director of Evangelical Educational Institute (IEE), Patriecia began her teaching in the area. 


We are currently standing firm as Maldonado’s only Chrisitan school. For several years Patricia was sharing her vision with other people so that in 2009, a group of teachers and non-teachers with the same feeling, began to meet and work to create the realization of an institutional project with the slogan “A place for all”.


In 2010 Patricia and her sister (co-founder and Administrative Director) rented a comfortable house in Avenida Batlle y Ordóñez nro. 1236 to start the school. They equipped it with the right school equipment and had uniforms designed and made for both staff and children. The will of God manifested throughout the process by how the different events occurred, one after another. Therefore, in the month of May classes begin as an Initial Education Center with an enrollment of 12 children between 2 and 5 years old.

Extracurricular subjects were offered: Musical Expression, English, Artistic Expression, Christian Education, Computer Science, Organic Garden, and Physical Education. We had trained personnel in the different areas, as well as integrated care for disabled children. The technical-teaching and non-teaching staff all had additional theological training (Christian and biblical education). 

In 2011 we were blessed with a student body of 87 children, from 18 months of age to 5 years (in preschools). This sparked the interest of the parents of the attending children and community, leading to first and second grade of primary school being started started. 


Since our beginning we have also carried out adult literacy as a free service to the community, through the international ALFALIT program. In 2012 we added a third grade of primary school; in the year 2013, fourth grade and so on until having all levels of primary by 2015.


There are already several generations of graduate students, who have continued with their studies and from whom we welcome their visits.   Several students have become part of our current staff of school officials. Among the milestones of the institution is the formation of a Board of Directors from 2015 and that has carried out several changes.

One of them was the implementation of the Scholarship Plan, a mechanism that for several years allowed to enroll children from low-income households. It consists of several people committing for a year to make monthly scholarship donations. These contributions allow for the tuition of the selected students. It should be clarified that although this instrument was created more recently, since the opening of the Institution many scholarships have always been granted. This was a great effort for the Institution when there was little financial support. In general, they are around 10% to 15% of total enrollment in this program. Since its application, several children have been awarded a scholarship. 


Additionally, for the work that has been done in the integration and schooling of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); a recognition has been received from the Civil Association CeAutismo (non-profit civil association that brings together parents, relatives, friends and interested people in general). 

Another of our projects has been the Adapted Curricular Schooling. This is based on creating: 1) personalized workshops with groups of five students (with many difficulties, some without verbal language and few social skills); 2) students included in classrooms with companions, and 3) integrated children without companions given their great achievements of socialization and learning. 


Currently, this project covers 20% of the total student body of the Institution. One issue to highlight is that 80% of the students come from non-Christian households. 


Many parents choose the Institution for its principles, and accept, or adhere to, their children receiving a Christian education. 

Something extremely important for the Institution was the realization since 2016 of prayer vigils, where different churches belonging to a varied range of denominations meet to pray – as the motto says – “United for Children and Adolescents”. This is done once a month in a different church.
